Who is James Ramey?

James Ramey, the late founder of Ultra Depth® International, was a visionary in the field of hypnosis, recognized for his groundbreaking work and contributions. Educated by the late Walter A. Sichort in Blackwood, New Jersey, Ramey’s journey in hypnosis began in 1974 and continued through 1982. His research, particularly in depths beyond Somnambulism, led to significant discoveries in communication and a deeper understanding of the human psyche.

Ramey’s dedication to helping those experiencing trauma fueled his exploration into the realms of consciousness, leading to insights that challenged traditional beliefs. He worked tirelessly to develop the Ultra Depth® Process. This system enables practitioners to facilitate profound levels of self-healing and achieve actual local and general anaesthesia without suggestion, among other breakthroughs.

James Ramey’s influence extended over nearly four decades as a hypnotist, educator, and international lecturer. He was deeply involved in teaching Relaxology and was recognized for his innovative techniques. In 2012, his Ultra Depth® Process was honoured with the Innovative Hypnotherapeutic Technique of the Year Award by the International Association of Counselors and Therapists (IACT).

A lifetime member of IACT and the lead International Ultra Depth® Facilitator/Educator and Hypno-Anesthesiologist until his passing in 2016, Ramey left a profound legacy. His passion and dedication advanced the field of hypnosis and inspired a global community of practitioners.
